John Herbers

John Herbers (born November 4, 1923) is an American journalist, author, editor, World War II veteran, and Pulitzer Prize finalist.
== Early life ==
Herbers was born in Memphis, Tennessee. At age 18, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Pacific theater during World War II.
